Quick notification on a couple known issues in Chrome:
- Chrome 58 is sending MTAP-16 and MTAP-24 packet types when streaming h.264 in Interleaved mode (used when SDP fmtp contains packetization-mode=1). When this occurs, video streams are not able to be rendered from IceLink. As per RFC 6184, "STAP-Bs, MTAPs, and FU-Bs MUST NOT be used" in Interleaved mode, so IceLink h.264 Depacketizers are erroring out an these packet types. This bug appears to be resolved in Chrome 59.
- Chrome 39+ has also had a known issue that we have recently found a work-around for. This issue causes video to randomly freeze after about 20 minutes when there is packet loss on the network. The fix for this will be in the latest versions of IceLink; however this still affects Chrome to Chrome and Chrome to other browsers. As per, https://bugs.chromium.org/p/webrtc/issues/detail?id=4140 this issue will not be fixed within the Chrome WebRTC stack.
IceLink 3.0.11 is being packaged for shipping this weekend. There's a large number of A/V quality improvements rolling out with that release, so stayed tuned!
